Vitamin B-12 (cyanocobalamin) is necessary for the nervous system as well as the production of energy from fats and proteins. It is essential for the synthesis of DNA during cell division and is therefore important for rapidly multiplying cells, like blood cells. The intake of vitamin B-12, folic acid and vitamin B-6 is important for the conversion of homocysteine to methoionine which helps the cardiovascular system. It also may be especially important for vegetarians as B-12 is only in meat and dairy food products.

DIRECTIONS
